THE STORY BEHIND
A traditional Faroese knitting pattern, called “Rossagriftin,” published in the book Føroysk bindingarmynstur in 1932 by Hans Marius Debes — a tailor who carefully collected and preserved Faroese knitting patterns to ensure they would continue to inspire generations of knitters.
In creating this sweater, we were drawn to the quiet balance of Nordic landscapes — the soft depth of grey skies, the tones of weathered stone, and the gentle movement of the sea. These elements shape both the colour and the expression of the pattern, allowing the traditional design to feel calm, modern, and deeply connected to its origins.
